From Vernon to Spokane and Back......and Some Random Pictures I took While Driving
From Vernon to Spokane and Back......and Some Random Pictures I took While Driving
Well the day I have been waiting for has arrived. That would be the day when I finally got a job. It all happened very, very quickly. I interviewed with the hospital the morning of Friday April 3rd, got the job a few hours later and then went into overdrive. There are a lot of things that have to be done before I can start a travel assignment so I had a lot of work to do in a short period of time. My job starts April 15th so there was not a lot of time.
Nothing like sitting in traffic. The road reports said the road would be closed between 1430 (2:30pm) and 1500 (3:00pm) so of course it was also closed when I got there at 1530 (3:30pm).
Some random road in Washington. No traffic.....it was nice.
So it was mostly medical stuff I needed to have done and of course these are all things that can be done in Canada but on such short notice it was much easier just to make a quick trip to Spokane to get it done at the same time.
Look, snow. Yeah I found some snow in Washington too.
More random road in Washington....and still no traffic.
Ok there was a little traffic.....but it was behind me.
So basically my trip involved me driving around 6 hours to Spokane, getting up the next day, getting my tests done and then driving about 6 hours back to Vernon. Not very exciting but I did take a few pictures along the way.
The Grand Coulee Dam. The most interesting thing I saw along the way......yeah it was a very boring drive.
Back sitting in traffic. I am sure everyone in the area will be very happy when this road project is done.
Anyways, all things worked out. I got everything done I was suppose to and I made it back in time to catch the Vernon Vipers Hockey game….where I won $1,897.50 in the 50/50 draw. All in all......a very good trip.
