5 Days, 7 States....what a trip!!

So I recently embarked on a 5 day, 7 state tour and wow did I pick a good weekend to do it. The weather was unbelievable and I got the opportunity to explore two amazing cities. Oh and I also renewed my love for baseball.

So my trip started in Connecticut and then took me to New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and finally Massachusetts. My destinations were Baltimore and Boston but made my way through those other states a long the way. (I went to Baltimore for 3 days then drove back home for one night before heading to Boston for one night) I put close to 1500 km (approximately 932 miles) on my car and saw temperatures ranging from 21 to 30 C (70 to 85 F). I also got to see two great ball games at two great ball parks but don’t worry I will get to all that.

I learned a few things during my drive. Here are a few examples: gas is cheaper on the New Jersey Turnpike, express lanes are not always the quickest, everyone from New England goes to Maryland for the weekend, you can't always just drive your route by following highway numbers (sometimes they take you the long way) driving in the “no trucks or trailers” lane is way more fun and finally if you drive a Mercedes with New Jersey plates you have to drive like a complete bonehead. I also got to see how big the Empire State Building really is. When you’re in Manhattan the ESB really does get swallowed up by all the other buildings around it. When you’re on the turnpike sitting in traffic trying to get through The Bronx it really just stands all alone. Really was a fun sight to see.

So when I realized how much ground I can cover in 5 days from Connecticut it really has made me realize 13 weeks in CT is just not enough. So I will be staying until September. In the fall….who knows.

Don’t worry, pictures from my 5 day trip will follow.
