One more trip to the Big Apple

Well at the end of August I had one more chance to visit the Big Apple. A friend of mine from Calgary (Jenn Brown) happened to be in the area and we managed to find some time to hang out together. I think we walked almost all of Manhattan Island (some how we forgot that the subway would have been faster), wandered through the Village,

took a trip through Chelsea market, we bought some great knock-off hand bags from some guy on the street corner (I told myself I wouldn’t but it was just too pretty), I think we ate a whole bunch (it was good. New York tastes good), wandered by the NYPD carrying some the biggest guns I had ever seen (all decked out in SWAT gear and stuff just hanging out on the street, sorry no pictures and we never did figure out what was going on) and we ended the night with a few cocktails at a cute little restaurant down the street from the hotel where we met a Riyad (I think the best waiter in NYC).. It was a lot of fun. Always nice to have someone to explore the city with.

Looking across at New Jersey

Jenn and I resting our feet after our day of walking.

Having a few drinks to cap off the night.
