This is Ford Theatre. It of course is the place where President Lincoln was shot by John Wilkes Booth, while celebrating the end of the Civil War. Later that year, the owner of the Ford Theatre attempted to re-open it to the public and stage productions there again. The Secretary of War, Edwin Stanton, actually stationed troops outside the building to keep this from happening. It is now a museum however it is currently closed for restoration so I was unable to go inside.

This buliding is across the street. This is where Lincoln was taken after he was shot.
This is the room where at 7:22am on April 15,1865 Lincoln died.
