One can't survive on hockey alone

December 15, 2007

Somehow it worked out that Keisha and I had another Saturday night off and made our way back down to the Verizon Centre (Center). This time though we were catching an NBA game. The Washington Wizards were playing some other team (we learned when we got there it was the Sacramento Kings). Neither of us knew any players on either team, and we could not tell you where they sat in the standings. Both of us like basketball though (I played it, she was a cheerleader) and had a great time at the game.

Keisha and I on the metro heading to the game. I can offcially say that we (well I know I have) mastered the DC metro system.

Some warm up shots. I don't any of the players' names but I do know these are the Washington Wizards.

Keisha and I in our seats.

Keisha and I are offcially 2 for 2 at pro sport games. Both the Wizards and the Capitals won when were in attendance (not that I think our presence had anything to do with the wins...although the Nationals did win the game I went to in September so I guess I really am 3 for 3). So much better than when the home team loses.....especially when you are there simply for the show.

So since moving down here in Sept 06 (and I mean the US in general) I have been to NHL games, NBA games and MLB games. I guess all that is left is a NFL game (although that will have to wait until next season) and then I guess I better start hitting some NCAA games. Seems the longer I am here, the longer my "things to see" list becomes.
