So in celebration of the upcoming nuptials of a couple of the girls at work,
Meaghan and Adriana.....the brides to be.
a few of us got together for some dinner, some music and of course a couple of drinks. Anyone who is a nurse knows how difficult it is to get a group of us together and as usual we lost a few of the planned attendees. No worries though the rest of us more than made up for those who couldn't make it.
Michele, Sam (not a nurse...but just as awesome), Kate and Adriana at dinner.
So our first gathering point of the evening was Tony DiNapoli restaurant on the Upper East Side. So weird for a nursing gathering to involve food. (that was severe sarcasm non-nurses, in case you weren't sure. If there is one thing nurses do well.....it's eat). The girls have been there before and one of the reasons is because they can accommodate large groups and the place is very loud. No one even noticed us....even during the talent contest (and we are some talented nurses).
What's that girls? You like the big sausage.
Ok so the food was great (and there was lots of it) the wine was great (and there was even more) but that was just the start of the evening for most of us. Those of us who have no responsibilities then made our way over to a little place called Brandy's Piano Bar. Such a cute and fun little place...even though they have a no dancing policy (the place is just too small......but still Booooo to no dancing). However, they don't have any rules against us singing along (Yeah to singing along).
Anyway, here are a few pictures of the girls from the night.
Meaghan, Susan (also not a nurse but we don't hold that against her) and Adriana.
Karen, Amy, Me (of course) and Meaghan
Sounds from the Piano Bar.
I always say you never know who you are working with until you get them out of the hospital. We are always on our best behaviour at work.
Adriana, Kate and Karen.
Meaghan and I. It actually was hard to find pictures where Meaghan didn't look like this. She was excited.
Kate and Karen.
Amy and I.
Anyway, it is pretty safe to say that it was a good time had by all, and everyone made it home safe.
Julie
