Nothing more beautiful than fall in Eastern Canada. I luckily managed to catch some of the beautiful colours before they hit the ground.
My annual trip home seemed to arrive very quickly and due to some upcoming travel plans I only had a couple weeks to spare. I almost didn't make the trip home however with little Livy getting bigger I didn't want to miss out. Like last year I made my first stop in Milton to catch up with Stephen, Heather and little Olivia. Unlike last year, Stephen was actually around and little Livy is a whole lot bigger. I happened to arrive at the Toronto airport on the coldest day thus far this fall (kind of hit me like a wall when I walked outside) but it's always worth it for time with family.
To remind you of the little Olivia I met in 2012.
The much bigger Olivia I met in 2013. She was a lot more shy when we first met but it didn't take long for us to get along again. Livy is very familiar with cameras and was pretty quick to smile and say "cheese" anytime it came out.

We did the usual dinner and shopping and drinks but we also made a quick trip to Niagara Falls, which was pretty awesome as I haven't been there since I was a kid. The trip was a little cold (I am fully acclimatized to Saudi Arabia) but I was prepared so it was a great trip.

A full look of the Horseshoe Falls, one of 3 falls that makeup Niagara Falls. Of course these sit on the Canadian side of the border while the American Falls (clever name I know) and Bridal Veil Falls sit on the American side.

Ok now this is the entire Horseshoe Falls. They are 790 metres wide and drop 50 metres.

Weeeeeeee......that would not only be the sound she makes when she's on the swings......but also the sound she makes when she wants to go back to the swings after we started walking back home.
Eventually I had to say goodbye and headed west to Vernon for a week. My days there were mostly filled with pumpkin carving, dinners, baseball, appointments and relaxing.
2013's pumpkins. Due to time constraints this year's carvings were a group effort. Dad did the spider, I did the sneer in the middle and Mom did the Dracula on the left. I think this year's pumpkin patch looked pretty good.

Wouldn't be a trip to Canada in November without a hockey game.
Mom and I also made a quick trip to Surrey to visit some family and do a bit of shopping. Ran into a little bit of snow but wasn't a bad drive at all.
Far too quick of a trip. Hopefully 2014 will bring a slightly longer visit. If I didn't see you this year, hopefully I'll see you next year.
